Flower Bouquet Valentine's Day Cards

Image
For this card, I used flowers and butterflies from  Hero Arts Bouquet Accessories Fancy Dies to create a Valentine's Day bouquet. For the paper to hold the bouquet, I used craft paper I found in my stash. For the bouquet itself, I cut out various flowers and butterflies from cardstock I found in my stash. I then inked up the edges using Altenew Crisp Dye Inks and Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink . I chose a dye ink color that was slightly darker than the cardstock I was using. I then used a  Sakura Stardust 6 Clear Glitter Pen to line the markings from the die cuts to add more definition. For the background, I used Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink and  Simon Says Stamp Delicate Outline Flowers and then die cut the background using  Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables .  Once all my flowers and background were complete, I set them in the bouquet and glued them down using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue . I added a sentiment from...

Glimmer Hot Foil Poinsettia Cards

Image
To create this card, I used Spellbinders Glimmer Poinsettia Hot Foil and Die Set . I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System to add Spellbinders Aura Glimmer Foil to the poinsettia on cardstock from Concord & 9th. I then used my die cutting machine to cut out each layer and glued it together using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue . For the center, I used an embellishment from Trinity Stamp's Gold Eclipse .  To create the leaves, I used the leaf from Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Etched Die Set and a leaf from The Greetery's Pine Wisp Die Set . I glued the die cuts onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 80# Cardstock cut to 5.5" by 3.75" and stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's The Magic of Christmas Stamp Set  with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink . I then glued the card front onto a card base made from the same colored cardstock as the poinsettia. The colors used are listed below. I cut a strip of Tonic Inca Gold Mirror Cardstock to glue to the bottom of the card f...

Quick and Simple Baseball Birthday Card

This was a quick and simple card to put together for my brother's birthday. To create this card, I used the die cuts from Waffle Flower's Baseball Dad Die Set for the focal images, Lawn Fawn's Grassy Hillside Borders for the grass, and Honey Bee Stamps' Stacking Art Deco Labels for the background. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 for all of the die cutting. I used the following cardstock colors for my die cuts:   Baseball - Neenah Solar White 110# & Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy Baseball Bats - Taylored Expressions Toffee &  Papertrey Ink True Black   Hat - My Favorite Things Field Day Grass - Taylored Expressions Peapod Background - Taylored Expressions Mocha Card Base - Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt To add more interest to my die cut images, I ink blended with a Simon Says Stamp Small Detail Flat Blending Brush around the edges using Distress Oxide Inks in the following colors:  Baseball & Bats - Gathered Twigs   Hat & Grass - Rustic Wilderness I t...

Welcome Baby Cards

Image
I had a baby boy in July and am now trying to get back into crafting. The past year has been chaotic - we bought a house in September, adopted two huskies in November, followed by pregnancy and a newborn which left little time to craft. I only made cards that others requested and didn't make anything that I wanted to create due to lack of time and lack of motivation.  I decided to make thank you cards for those that got me gifts or have helped with the baby since he was born. I created these cards using various die sets fr6m The Greetery's New Beginnings Collection . The sentiment for each card is from  The Greetery Baby Face Sentiment Stamp Set which coordinates perfectly with each of the die sets I used. This stamp set also contains various facial expressions that can be used for each. For my first card, I used Baby Face Bee Die for the small and large bee. I cut the body from Taylored Expression's Lemon Meringue cardstock and shaded the edges with Simon Says Stam...

Military Appreciation Cards

Image
To create these cards, I used a background stamp from Taylored Expressions called Sketched Flag Background. I used Blue Corn and and Mulled Wine inks. This background stamp is easy to ink up in order to create multiple backgrounds. I chose these ink colors as Taylored Expressions has a cardstock line that matches their inks perfectly. Although I didn't use the matching cardstock for these cards, I did on the cards shown below.  To finish the cards, I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Tiny Words Stamp Set . This stamp set comes with a variety of sentiments that fit any occasion. I did not have any stamps or dies to create the word "Sailor" or for any of the other branches so I created my own using Concord & 9th's Tall Type Alphabet Dies . These dies are tall and narrow so they are good for creating longer words to still fit on an A2 card front. I used Sizzix Gold Surfacez Opulent Cardstock for the letters. In the lower corner, I stamped one of the sta...

Colorful Paintbrush Cards for Crafters

Image
To create these cards, I used various dies from Spellbinders Paint Your World Die Bundle . This bundle as well as the individual sets are on sale until August 28, 2022 as part of their Back to School Sale which has lots of crafting supplies for up to 40% off. Each card uses a sentiment from Spellbinders Paint Your World Sentiment Stamp Set stamped with  Tsukineko VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink . To create this card, I cut the brush from Spellbinders Butterfly Burst Etched Die Set using Lawn Fawn's Craft Cardstock and  Sizzix Surfaces Charcoal Opulent Cardstock . The bristles for the brush is from Lawn Fawn's Vanilla Malt Cardstock, which I used for all the brush bristles in this blog post. The leaves and tulips are from Artful Tulip Etched Die Set while the other flowers are from Spellbinders Be Bold Bloom Die Set .  I glued the paintbrush and embellishments onto Hammermill White 100# Smooth Premium Cardstock cut out using Lawn Fawn's  Fancy Scall...
