Iron-Off Embossed Resist on Dark Cardstock with Distress Oxide Sprays
I'm starting to build up my Christmas card collection for this year and decided I wanted to use an iron-off emboss resist technique to create some quick card sets. To create these cards, I first stamped Colorado Craft Company's Big & Bold Warm Wishes Snowflake Clear Stamp with Veramark Ink onto various dark colored cardstock from Taylored Expressions. I then used WOW Embossing Powder Clear Gloss which created a darker shiny image of the snowflake as shown above. I then put the card in a cardboard box so that I could use Distress Oxide Spray to add color to the cards. I placed some paper towels in the box to absorb the excess and placed the card down so that the top of the card was closest to me. I lightly misted the card so that there would be a higher concentration of color at the top of the card. I chose two colors of Distress Oxide Spray for each color of cardstock.
