COLORING

What alcohol based markers do you use? 

 I use Copic Sketch Markers. I have listed pictures of my color blends on the side under "Copic Coloring" and I will update this page the more I color.


What watercolors and watercolor markers do you use?

I use Altenew Watercolors and Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers, Karin Brush Markers Pro, Tombow Duel Brush Pens, and Zig Watercolor Brushes. For metallic watercolors, I use Iuile Watercolors and Altenew.

What colored pencils do you use?

I use Prismacolor and a Prismacolor Colorless Blender or Caran d'Ache Luminance.

INK BLENDING

What inks do you use for ink blending?

My favorite inks to blend with is Distress Oxide Ink, Distress Ink, Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink, Taylored Expressions, and Gina K Designs Dye Ink.

What blending brushes do you use for ink blending?

Dye Inks:

For large areas, I use Simon Says Stamp's Blending Brushes in both the large and small sizes or Gina K Designs Blending Brushes. For small areas, I use Altenew Mini Blending Brushes, Waffle Flower Shader Brush 0, and Rabbit Hole Designs Bitty Blending Brushes. I keep one blending brush for each color family. I store my blending brushes in Simon Says Stamp Multi Tool Storage and Gina K Designs Blending Brush Storage.


Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Inks:

I use a Ranger Mini Round Ink Blending Tool. I have one Round Foam Refill for each color.


DIE CUTTING & EMBOSSING FOLDERS

What die cutting machine do you use?

I primarily use a Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine from Spellbinders. Spellbinders came out with a Universal Plate System that allows the size of the sandwich to be adjusted for various embossing folders. They have a chart on their website for the recommended sandwiches for embossing folders for different brands. This machine is also compatible with the Glimmer Hot Foil System which is used to add foil to your projects. I also have a Sizzix Big Shot and Empress Electronic Die Cutting Machine


STAMPING

What stamping tool do you use?

I use the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia in both the original and mini sizes.


How do you clean your stamps?

I usually just wipe down my stamps with a lint free cloth such as the Scrub It Clean Cloth from Pink & Main. If they are extra inky, I'll use Squeaky Clean which is a stamp cleaning spray or a damp Stamp Shammy from Lawn Fawn.


SUPPLIES

What glue do you use?

I primarily use Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and ATG Tape.


What black ink do you use?

If I'm doing Copic Coloring, I use a copic friendly ink such as Gina K Designs Amalgam Ink, Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, or Honey Bee Stamps Intense Black Ink.

For watercoloring, I use Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. However, this and Gina K Design's Amalgam Ink can both be used with watercolor. 

For sentiments, I use VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink or VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink.

If stamping on a slick surface such as acetate, I use StazOn Jet Black Ink.


What do you use for card bases?

I use 100# cardstock or heavier for my bases. For white card bases, I use Neenah Classic Crest 110# Cardstock. For colored card bases, I use a various brands such as Papertrey Ink and Taylored Expressions.


What do you use for heat embossing?

I use Versamark Ink, WOW Dual Speed Heat Tool, and an Embossing Magic Powder Bag. I use a variety of colors that are listed under supplies in my blog posts.


MISCELLANEOUS

What size cards do you make?

I primarily make A2 size cards which are 4.25" by 5.5". 

I occasionally make mini slimline cards at 3.5" by 6".

Slimline cards range from 4" by 9" to 3.5" by 8.5" to 3 5/8" by 8 5/8" depending on the products used.


What art experience to you have?

None. The last art class I took was in 8th grade.


What do you use to take pictures of your cards?

I use my iPhone 11Pro.


What do you do with all your cards?

I donate cards to Cards for Kindness, Bring Smiles to Seniors, and Cards for Soldiers. I also plan on selling cards at craft shows in the near future. Cards for Kindness collects a variety of blank handmade greeting cards and sends them to different organizations where they get distributed to hospitals, shelters, senior centers, etc. Bring Smiles to Seniors is an organization that collects cards to send to senior centers around the United States. They accept either blank cards which get filled out by Card Angels or you can fill out the inside yourself. Cards for Soldiers collects blank greeting cards that get sent to military stationed or deployed overseas so that they are able to send them to their loved ones back home. They also accept cards written for military personnel.
