About Me

I started making cards in 2019 as a way to cope with anxiety while in the military. I was stationed on the USS George H. W. Bush from December 2017 - October 2021 as a Nuclear Electronics Technician. Being in the military means I live far away from my family and sending cards gives me another way to connect with my family and friends. I am still currently serving in the Navy though now I am on shore duty and have significantly more time to craft. Prior to joining the military, I received my BS in Physics.

I like experimenting with different techniques and I hope to share those techniques with you. I am relatively new to card making so there is still much I need to learn! I like mass producing cards for the repetition and to be able to share my ideas with as many people as possible. I have created resource pages on the side for coloring and inking techniques. If you have any questions about a card that I made, feel free to contact me or leave a comment on that blog post.

I donate cards to Cards for Kindness, Bring Smiles to Seniors, and Cards for Soldiers. I also plan on selling cards at craft shows in the near future. Cards for Kindness collects a variety of blank handmade greeting cards and sends them to different organizations where they get distributed to hospitals, shelters, senior centers, etc. Bring Smiles to Seniors is an organization that collects cards to send to senior centers around the United States. They accept either blank cards which get filled out by Card Angels or you can fill out the inside yourself. Cards for Soldiers collects blank greeting cards that get sent to military stationed or deployed overseas so that they are able to send them to their loved ones back home. They also accept cards written for military personnel.

I participate in multiple affiliate programs. Affiliate links are used in my blog posts at no additional cost to you. If you use these links, I get a small commission if you purchase a product from that website but you are under no obligation to do so. See my "Links" page for the programs I participate in.

In addition to crafting, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking. I love traveling, especially to national parks and I am lucky to be currently stationed in a state that has 3 national parks!
