Glimmer Hot Foil Poinsettia Cards

Image
To create this card, I used Spellbinders Glimmer Poinsettia Hot Foil and Die Set . I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System to add Spellbinders Aura Glimmer Foil to the poinsettia on cardstock from Concord & 9th. I then used my die cutting machine to cut out each layer and glued it together using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue . For the center, I used an embellishment from Trinity Stamp's Gold Eclipse .  To create the leaves, I used the leaf from Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Etched Die Set and a leaf from The Greetery's Pine Wisp Die Set . I glued the die cuts onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 80# Cardstock cut to 5.5" by 3.75" and stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's The Magic of Christmas Stamp Set  with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink . I then glued the card front onto a card base made from the same colored cardstock as the poinsettia. The colors used are listed below. I cut a strip of Tonic Inca Gold Mirror Cardstock to glue to the bottom of the card f...

Perfect Pearl Snowflake Background

Image
I actually started these cards last year and I had intended on making a set that had all snowflakes but my dogs got ahold of the rest of my snowflakes so I decided to create more of a variety. These cards use Ranger's Perfect Pearls which is a metallic pigment powder to make sparkly snowflake backgrounds.  To make the backgrounds, I used snowflakes from  Gina K Designs Sparkling Snowflakes and  Colorado Craft Company Big & Bold Nordic Snowflake . I used my Embossing Magic Powder Bag so that the Perfect Pearls only stuck where I stamped and then I stamped the background using VersaMark Ink . I then put Perfect Pearls on the card front and used a paint brush to spread the pigment powder around. I took a lint free cloth to wipe off the excess powder. The colors used for each are listed below.  For the sentiment for each card, I used a stamp from  Colorado Craft Company Lovely Legs Bethlehem's Light stamped with VersaMark Ink and embos...

Rawr-some Birthday Cards

Image
I went out of my comfort zone and decided to practice my Copic Coloring. I created these cards using the All the Dots 6"x6" Petite Paper Pack from Lawn Fawn. I cut down each sheet of paper to a 4" by 4" square and then cut the square in half to create triangles. I then cut multiple sheets of Neenah Solar White 110# Cardstock to 4" by 5.25" sheets. Onto each sheet, I stamped a dinosaur from Whimsy Stamp's  Roar Stomp Chomp Stamp Set and  Roar A Saur Stamp Set with  Honey Bee Stamp's Intense Black Ink  as this ink is Copic friendly. I stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Rawrsome Stamp Set .  I'm not good at shading so I looked at the pictures on Whimsy Stamp's website to figure out the shading for each dinosaur. The colors for each dinosaur are listed below. Once I had each dinosaur colored, I glued the patterned paper onto the white card front and glued the entire card front onto an A2 card base made from Papertrey Ink Cardstock ....

Distress Oxide Sprays with Hibiscus Layering Dies

Image
I made these flowers a long time ago but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them. To make the flowers, I used Distress Oxide Sprays  to color sheets of similar colored cardstock from my stash. Because I made these so long ago, I don't remember the exact colors used. Once the cardstock was dry, I made the Hibiscus's using Lawn Fawn's Happy Hibiscus Die Cuts . I cut another large leaf from Lawn Fawn's Tropical Leaf Die Set . I then die cut my leftover green sheets from Paper Rose's Palm Leaf Frame  to fill up the rest of the background.  Once all the die cutting was complete, I messed around with where to place the die cuts until I found a layout I liked and glued them down. I picked a sentiment from Altenew's Sentiment Strip 3 Stamp Set and placed it towards the top of the card. Finally, I added embellishments from Trinity Stamps .
