This was a quick and simple card to put together for my brother's birthday. To create this card, I used the die cuts from Waffle Flower's Baseball Dad Die Set for the focal images, Lawn Fawn's Grassy Hillside Borders for the grass, and Honey Bee Stamps' Stacking Art Deco Labels for the background. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 for all of the die cutting. I used the following cardstock colors for my die cuts:   Baseball - Neenah Solar White 110# & Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy Baseball Bats - Taylored Expressions Toffee &  Papertrey Ink True Black   Hat - My Favorite Things Field Day Grass - Taylored Expressions Peapod Background - Taylored Expressions Mocha Card Base - Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt To add more interest to my die cut images, I ink blended with a Simon Says Stamp Small Detail Flat Blending Brush around the edges using Distress Oxide Inks in the following colors:  Baseball & Bats - Gathered Twigs   Hat & Grass - Rustic Wilderness I t...

Rawr-some Birthday Cards

Image
I went out of my comfort zone and decided to practice my Copic Coloring. I created these cards using the All the Dots 6"x6" Petite Paper Pack from Lawn Fawn. I cut down each sheet of paper to a 4" by 4" square and then cut the square in half to create triangles. I then cut multiple sheets of Neenah Solar White 110# Cardstock to 4" by 5.25" sheets. Onto each sheet, I stamped a dinosaur from Whimsy Stamp's  Roar Stomp Chomp Stamp Set and  Roar A Saur Stamp Set with  Honey Bee Stamp's Intense Black Ink  as this ink is Copic friendly. I stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Rawrsome Stamp Set .  I'm not good at shading so I looked at the pictures on Whimsy Stamp's website to figure out the shading for each dinosaur. The colors for each dinosaur are listed below. Once I had each dinosaur colored, I glued the patterned paper onto the white card front and glued the entire card front onto an A2 card base made from Papertrey Ink Cardstock ....

Flippin' Awesome Flip Flop Cards

Image
This beach themed cards were made using a variety of die cuts from Honey Bee Stamps . To start, I made the flip flops using the Flip Flop Builder Honey Cuts  and patterned paper from Sunny Studio  called Dots & Stripes Pastels . I then went through my stash to find matching cardstock to complete the flip flops. All supplies for each card is listed below.  The leaves for these cards were made using Honey Bee Stamp's Tropical Bouquet  die set. I cut down a 4" by 5.25" card front from Soft Stone Cardstock from Papertrey Ink and placed the leaves on top. Once I had them positioned, I placed a tiny amount of Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to keep them in place. For the sentiment, I used stamps from Honey Bee Stamp's Flippin' Fabulous Stamp Set which has a coordinating die set for the top sentiment. I stamped "Flippin' Fabulous" with various ink colors to match the flip flops. To finish the cards, I used embellishments from Trinity Stamps . I tri...
