Flippin' Awesome Flip Flop Cards


This beach themed cards were made using a variety of die cuts from Honey Bee Stamps. To start, I made the flip flops using the Flip Flop Builder Honey Cuts and patterned paper from Sunny Studio called Dots & Stripes Pastels. I then went through my stash to find matching cardstock to complete the flip flops. All supplies for each card is listed below. 


The leaves for these cards were made using Honey Bee Stamp's Tropical Bouquet die set. I cut down a 4" by 5.25" card front from Soft Stone Cardstock from Papertrey Ink and placed the leaves on top. Once I had them positioned, I placed a tiny amount of Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to keep them in place. For the sentiment, I used stamps from Honey Bee Stamp's Flippin' Fabulous Stamp Set which has a coordinating die set for the top sentiment. I stamped "Flippin' Fabulous" with various ink colors to match the flip flops. To finish the cards, I used embellishments from Trinity Stamps. I tried to place my embellishments based off the rule of 3's, so I have 3 groupings of the gems. 


I had a bunch of patterned paper left over, so I decided to make a simple beach scene card. I first used Honey Bee Stamp's Sandy Shore 6x6 Stamp Set and Altenew's Mocha Ink on Classic Craft Cardstock from Papertrey Ink to create a sandy beach. I cut the paper out with My Favorite Thing's Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics. I cut out the waves using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Wave Border Die Set with paper from Taylored Expressions and then built the scene. I stamped a similar sentiment using Honey Bee Stamp's Flippin' Fabulous 6x6 Stamp Set.


With all the scarps, I made a quick retirement card with the other die cuts from Honey Bee Stamp's Tropical Bouquet. The sentiment is from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps called Retirement Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

Iron-Off Embossed Resist on Dark Cardstock with Distress Oxide Sprays

  I'm starting to build up my Christmas card collection for this year and decided I wanted to use an iron-off emboss resist technique to create some quick card sets. To create these cards, I first stamped Colorado Craft Company's Big & Bold Warm Wishes Snowflake Clear Stamp with Veramark Ink onto various dark colored cardstock from Taylored Expressions.  I then used WOW Embossing Powder Clear Gloss which created a darker shiny image of the snowflake as shown above. I then put the card in a cardboard box so that I could use Distress Oxide Spray to add color to the cards. I placed some paper towels in the box to absorb the excess and placed the card down so that the top of the card was closest to me. Northern Lights Background Holiday Card Sets

I created these holiday card sets using the  Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Classic August 2023 Card Kit . Hero Arts card kits are released the first Saturday of every month and they have several  subscription options or can be purchased individually. However, once a kit is sold out, they are no longer available. This card kit was nature themed and comes with dies to create trees lines, mountains, and canyons as well as embossing powders and cardstock, but I decided to use some of the dies for holiday cards instead.  For each card, I first stamped the northern lights using a stamp from  Hero Arts Northern Lights Polar Bears Stamp Set onto Neenah Solar White 110# Cardstock with VersaMark Ink and embossed the image with  WOW Opaque Bright White Superfine Embossing Powder . Perfect Pearl Snowflake Background

  I actually started these cards last year and I had intended on making a set that had all snowflakes but my dogs got ahold of the rest of my snowflakes so I decided to create more of a variety. These cards use Ranger's Perfect Pearls which is a metallic pigment powder to make sparkly snowflake backgrounds.  To make the backgrounds, I used snowflakes from  Gina K Designs Sparkling Snowflakes and  Colorado Craft Company Big & Bold Nordic Snowflake . I used my Embossing Magic Powder Bag so that the Perfect Pearls only stuck where I stamped and then I stamped the background using VersaMark Ink . I then put Perfect Pearls on the card front and used a paint brush to spread the pigment powder around. I took a lint free cloth to wipe off the excess powder.
